Our roots
Manzano Systems Inc. is a deep-tech startup delivering integrated photonic solutions for the most pressing needs in quantum computing, neuromorphic circuitry, and hybrid-modality RF systems. Founded in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the company benefits from the burgeoning quantum and defense-oriented technology hub in the beautiful high desert. Our founding team previously worked at Sandia National Laboratories, where they contributed to research and development programs spanning quantum information science and photonic systems.
The company name is derived from the nearby Manzano Mountains, a remote and rugged range that extends southward from the iconic Sandia ridgeline. Manzano is also Spanish for apple tree, reflecting our belief that breakthrough technologies flourish when rooted in rigorous science and focused on delivering real-world products.
